ST. JOHN'S UNIVERSITY SEEKS HEAD COACH The St. John’s University Water Polo Club is looking for a coach on an initially volunteer basis. Should a workable relationship develop, the club will be able to apply for a stipend from the Student Activities Fund. Any applicant must be willing to attend regular, 3-5 day a week practices during the fall season and a majority of tournaments (for which hotel will be covered by the team). For practices, the coach will be expected to design workouts that will improve our physical abilities as well as game play, and provide leadership in these activities at practice. Additionally, the applicant must be willing to complete necessary administrative duties, such as scheduling games outside of assigned conference play and all CWPA assigned duties. As a bonus, the coach would be able to attend regular, 1-3 days a week practices in the spring, as well as tournaments, and have or be willing to get CWPA refereeing certification. While we would prefer someone with Water Polo Coaching experience, due to the limited stock of such persons in the area, we are glad to have anyone with playing or spectator experience.
